The SCST have recently formed a Research Group which aims to increase involvement and raise the profile of cardiac scientists involved in research. More information on this will follow in coming weeks and months, but as a group affiliated with the British Heart Foundation Clinical Research Collaboration, we are able to support applications to their Research Development Fund which has just opened.
This grant programme offers up to £10,000 to support UK-based research teams in developing their clinical research ideas. The fund aims to help researchers gather pilot data, conduct systematic reviews, and prepare for larger studies with the potential to significantly impact heart health. Applications are encouraged from research teams across the UK, with a focus on projects that involve early-career researchers. The application deadline is April 28, 2025.
