“History Month is a time to reflect on how far we’ve come and what still needs to be done. While great strides have been made, LGBTQIA+ equality remains an ongoing effort worldwide. This year’s theme—activism and social change—reminds us that progress requires continuous commitment. History shows that rights, once acquired, are not guaranteed; without ongoing activism, they can be eroded. That’s why we must remain dedicated to maintaining equality for future generations“.
