For cardiac, healthcare and physiology practitioners, scientists and academics, and anyone with an interest in cardiac science.

For students enrolled on the Practitioner Training Programme (Cardiac / Respiratory).
Other Membership Levels and Pricing
Once you have signed up to become a paid SCST Member, you will receive an email inviting you to upgrade your membership level, if you wish to do so, to one of the following:
- Ordinary Member
- Assistant/ Associate Member
- Fellow Member
To upgrade to Ordinary or Assistant/ Associate Membership, you will be asked to provide proof of your position with a UK recognised qualification and employment in the UK. We will provide full details and guidance, in the email, on what this entails, and how to upgrade, after you have signed up for your paid SCST Membership.
Fellow Membership is awarded either on application or through nomination. More details below.
The upgraded membership levels are available to those working in the following job roles:

– Assistant Healthcare Science Practitioner (Cardiology)
– Associate Healthcare Science Practitioner (Cardiology)
Ordinary
£50 per year
– Cardiac Physiologist
– Healthcare Science Practitioner (Cardiac Physiology)
– Clinical Scientist (cardiology)
– Academic within Healthcare Science (Cardiology)
Fellow
£50 per year
Awarded by SCST (on application or through nomination) in recognition of achievement and contribution to the profession.
It is for those who demonstrate a commitment to advancing standards, strategic leadership and best practice.
BCS (British Cardiovascular Society) Affiliate Membership
The British Cardiovascular Society are delighted to offer SCST members affiliate membership for only £58 per year, available to any member of an affiliated society (excluding consultant cardiologists).
Offering a variety of benefits including access to educational resources; meetings and events; courses and training; publications; and networking, the BCS’ Affiliate Membership is open to members of the SCST who are not a consultant cardiologist and who hold current SCST membership.

Membership FAQ
Q: Am I eligible for the free student membership?
You must be currently on a BSc course via either the PTP or Apprenticeship route. Once you become a Cardiographer you can apply for associate membership.
Q: Does STP or ETP positions qualify me for free student membership?
No, as they have salary support they do not qualify for Affiliate Student free membership. You can join as an Affiliate Paid member.
Q: I am not in the UK – can I still join SCST as a member?
Yes, you will need to choose the affiliate paid option. You will be unable to upgrade.
